Jo,
When looking at the scene that you want to paint,
it can be hard to work out what a particular colour is.
So, it's useful to compare it to a chart of
previously mixed colours.
I've already compiled a range to use as reference points, below.
They are arranged in this way -
- Colour - Shade (Dark)
- Tint (Light) - Grey shade
To mix the colours Names
YO - more yellow than red Y - yellow
O - yellow and red O - orange
RO - more red than yellow R - red
RP - more red than blue P - purple
P - red and blue B - blue
BP - more blue than red T - turquoise
BT - more blue than green G - green
T - blue and green L - lime
GT - more green than blue
GL - more green than yellow
L - green and yellow
YL - more yellow than green
Dark - colour + a little bit of black
Light - white + a little bit of colour
Grey shade - white + a little bit of black + a little bit of colour
