Josie - Art

Jo,

I was thinking that you are right, art would be a good thing to share with you through this blog.
I've been drawing and painting down at the beach nearly every weekend, and I'm building up a bit of an art portfolio (in a display folder). But, I'm going to try out different art techniques, from a "text" book. So, I was thinking we could do this together, if you want to. And I could put up a post once a week or whenever, sharing with you the techniques as I do them. What do you think?

If you do want to, then you should get together the following items to start with, for painting with acrylics -

1. Sketch book
2. Set of acrylic paints  -  White, Black, Blue, Red, Yellow, Green
3. Palette / icecream container lid
Set of different types of brushes
4. Jar for water
    Cloth (for wiping brushes)

I get most of my art things from Nextra Newsagency, but I don't think there is one down there ( Charters Towers - Townsville ). But, if you are on a trip to Townsville, then Big W or K Mart have most of those sorts of things. I used a small plastic Capilano honey jar for the water jar. And the cloths are Chux. Both from Woolies or Coles.

No pressure, just if you want to develop your art. Mum :)

Climbing Rocks

Mel,

Wow, that was quick!
Thankyou for changing the distribution from two to one new episode per television show per week.
It feels good.

I had fun climbing up those rocks at the beach last weekend. Of course I had to get those pink flowers at the top so I could draw them! I wasn't going to climb over the fence at the top to get to them! I enjoyed that. That's my idea of having a good time.

Tip :  For anyone who's thinking about it, when at the top and wanting to climb back down, DON"T turn around and try to go down front first, you'll fall down, maybe all the way. Climb down backwards, it's much easier.

Josie

Josie,

I've been thinking a lot about what to say.
Thought I would start with sharing with you that I know that you are interested in the following things -

Celtic culture - including celtic art, and "Lord of the Rings"
Photography
Engineering - including cars, and the Air Cadets
Fashion

So, how could I help you with progressing with those things through my blog?
I'll have to think a bit about that.....
                                                       Any ideas?

Last Resort

Mel,

Could you organise to distribute, only one new episode, per television series, per week.
This is because it takes a great deal of energy to absorb and implement the information contained therein, and if more than one new episode per series is shown per week, it creates "overload" on society.

I'm deeply impressed by your depth of insight and your capability in expressing that to the community. Confirming that that is indeed the situation,  .....understood.

Did you see the Captions that I put in the comments section of the "Mutiny on the Bounty" frame, on your Facebook page? And the other things...(incl. the birthday wishes 2012)?

Would you help me source equipment for my film etc projects? I'm not that strong on the technical side, but would you help me with all that?

Lifting Weights

Mel,

I thought that was very interesting that you were lifting those weights at the beach on Sunday (St. Patrick's Day - 17th March).
I like it that you feel like bursting into musical song and dance whenever you're happy.
You know I used to have a mandolin, and I'm sorry now that I let it go.
I understand about those things that you're concerned about. And I know about "the system", as I have one too !

Mel's Story - "R" Rated

Viewer's are advised that the following story is rated "R".
It contains sex scenes.

(S)  Sex scenes

Mel,

I think it's time to tell everyone what happened to you when you were a boy.
It's been very difficult for you to say anything, because that's the way you are.
(Selective Mutism ?)
So, I can do it for you.
Here goes......

Your mother, Anne, had gone out to do the shopping to get the groceries. And while she was out, your father Hutton, forced you to participate in a sexual act with him. When your mother came back home soon after, you approached her in the kitchen as she was bringing the bags of groceries in. But, what had happened traumatized you so much that you could not speak about it. You looked at her trying to tell her, but the words wouldn't come out. Unfortunately at the same time, you also had an involuntary erection because of it.
Anne didn't understand what you were trying to tell her. She thought that you wanted to have sex with her. So she took you by the hand and led you into a bedroom. She lay down on the bed and opened up to you, pulling you into her. After the initial realization of what she was doing, you pulled away and left the bedroom in more shock. After that you couldn't trust her at all, and kept watch of her from a distance to make sure that she couldn't do it to you again.
At dinner with the family soon after, Anne was serving up sausages and looked at you with disdain across the table. Deeply hurt, you became very angry and left the table, going out to the family car and taking it for a joy ride, damaging it in the process. Though you did fix it later.
Hutton was a different story, as he continued his violent and persistent sexual intrusion into your bedroom, to give you your "punishment", for a long time after that, and beyond.

Appreciation

Mel,

Thankyou for helping me to fix the sewing-machine  :)
I appreciate it very much.
Consequences are dire if machinery doesn't get repaired,
so you've dug me out of a big hole.
It's up and running now,
no problem.
And I've started to sew the dresses.
Starting off slowly, like you said.

I'm glad that you feel that way about reading my blog.
I had a big smile on my face  :)

Love you.

Sewing Machine

Mel,

Would you have a look at my sewing machine ?
It doesn't work.
I got it out of the packing boxes and it's developed a problem
since I last used it.

Something down the bottom is not engaging properly.
The teeth that move the material through are going backwards and forwards,
but I think they are supposed to also go up and down and they aren't.
So, the needle just keeps going up and down in the same hole
in the material, making no stitches.
Also, a lever down the bottom for something else
is supposed to be able to be moved across to another position and it won't.

If you can't have a look at it,
then it won't get fixed
and I won't be able to sew the dresses.
So, I won't be able to do my clothes designing.
That is the reality.  :(

I can't get anyone else to fix it,
for several good reasons,
that I don't want to go into over the internet,
concerning the Roman.

I do really like this machine.

*big sigh*

The Mickey Rat Freckle

Mel,

I thought I would share with everyone about the Mickey Rat Freckle that's on my leg.
It has fascinated me for a long time that it looks so much like the Mickey Mouse logo,
as it has two spots at the top of a longer spot, which looks like a rats' snout  :)

Mobile Phone

Mel,

I'm being blocked from numerous internet sites, so I'm lucky that I've got on to here now.
I have my mobile on silent and can't take phone calls,
but I can receive texts.
This is because "the Roman" can't tolerate certain sounds.
If you had a phone number that could be displayed,  :(
then I would be able to text you back.  :)

Thankyou for getting your head around my request,
and for investing in my clothes design project.

I love you, my wonderful husband.   XO
