YOUR NAME & ADDRESS
My example is an Australian Address Format.
Use whichever Address Format applies to your Country.
Pay attention to correct placement of commas.

THE DATE
Date Format is different in some places.
I have opted to always write the Month out in full, so that there is no confusion between numbers because of their placement.

eg.       Australian Date Format             Day No.  /  Month  /  YEAR         25 October 2022
USA Date Format                      Month  /  Day No.  /  YEAR

                         THEIR ADDRESS
I have used an Australian Address Format.
However, use the Address Format which applies to the Country of the person / entity that you are sending your letter to.
Also, pay attention to correct placement of commas.

                         DEAR
If you do not know the name of the person you are sending your letter to, it is best to use –

Dear Sir / Madam,                                 (Notice the Comma at the end)

If you know the name of the person, then of course, you can write that in.

                         eg.       Dear Mr Gibson,

                         PLEASE FIND ENCLOSED
This is a one sentence statement, advising of the overall content of the package.

eg.        Please find enclosed, a copy of my adapted screenplay, KHAKI TOWN.

                         YOUR PITCH
Here you can expand, as succinctly as possible,
on anything that you want to say about Yourself and the Approach that you are making to them,
in regards to Your Work that is included.

                         YOURS SINCERELY
The standard conclusion to a Formal Letter, especially if you do not know the name of the person. Is –

Yours Sincerely,                                    (Notice the Comma at the end)

If you are on more familiar terms with the recipient, then you can use –

            Kind Regards,
or,
            Regards,                                               (Notice the Commas)

The Space below this, is for you to write in your Signature.

Then below this, is where your name should be typed so that it is clear,
as Signatures can be very hard to read.

Formal Format                          Mr / Mrs / Ms / Miss Your Name

            Informal Format                         Your Name

LIST OF FILES

Screenplay Format #25 - SYNOPSIS

The Synopsis is a brief description of the story.
Which is designed to give a quick overview of what it is about,
to anyone that you approach, or involve, in the making of the film etc,

It is probably best to use only one page, as this will be easy to read.

The President of the United States, Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ), is reflecting on past events, in the Oval Office (The White House, Washington DC). He is about to sign the final version of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, inviting Robert Kennedy to be present, as it will become law on the morrow.

This prompts him to relate to Robert, an event that he was involved in during WW2.

US troops were offered to Australia to help with the war effort, and Negroes were included.
Australia, however, had then and now (1964), their White Australia Policy and didn’t want the Negroes. However, President Franklin D. Roosevelt said,

“We said if no black troops, then no US troops! Period!”

Set in the first half of 1942, against the backdrop of the imminent Japanese invasion of Australia, the following story, based on fact, traces the build-up and explosive conclusions to the presence of Negroes in Townsville, Qld. Involving in particular, a group of Company A & C soldiers of the 96th Battalion, US Army Corps of Engineers, who led a mutiny against their white US officers.

At the time, the incidents were buried, and have only come to light recently through the research activities of a James Cook University’s (Townsville) historian, Mr Ray Holyoak (2012).
