IO 5 - The 4 Houses

So, if the  4  Corporate Sectors had formed, and been ascribed these symbols and colours –

Design and Management Occupations                            CLUB                 YELLOW

Spiritual and other Communication Occupations             DIAMOND         WHITE

Hospitality and Entertainment Occupations                     HEART               RED

Occupations involved with the ground                             SPADE               BLACK
and digging into it

then,
buildings that were purpose built, would have incorporated these elements.

Is this bourne out by historical evidence ?

I would say, yes.

COLOUR

Yellow Geopolymer  (Yellow Sandstone)

eg. Fort St Elmo, Malta
(ancient)

White Geopolymer (Limestone)

White building material seems to be a bit more ambiguous,
as that which has survived
has greyed on the outside from oxidation
and that which is white now,
may actually be ashed yellow or red geopolymer.

eg. Newgrange, Ireland
(ancient)

eg. Mt Stromlo Astronomical Observatory, Australia
(modern continuation of an ancient idea)

eg. The Blue Domed Church, Santorini
(ancient / modern)

Red Geopolymer  (Red Sandstone)

eg. Bothwell Castle, UK
(ancient)

Black Geopolymer (Basalt)

Black seems to be scarce,
but does include Basalt walls and pavement / platforms

eg. The foundations of the Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool,
including St James’ cemetery, UK
(ancient)

This could have been the material used to build
a Necropolis, which is a city of the dead -

eg.  Glasgow Necropolis (cemetery),
containing mausoleums (houses for the dead), UK
(ancient / modern)

eg. Black horses and hearses for the burying of the dead
(modern continuation of an ancient idea)

SYMBOLS

Symbols may have been incorporated into the design
of a building.

Club

eg. Passageway within Newgrange, Ireland
(ancient)

eg. Floorplan of St Paul’s Cathedral, London, UK
(modern continuation of an ancient idea)

Diamond

eg. Tilbury Starfort, UK
(ancient)

eg. The Giza Plateau Pyramids, Egypt
(ancient)

Heart

I cannot think of any common design incorporating the Heart shape.

Spade

I cannot think of any common design incorporating the Spade shape.

THE  4  FAMILIES

As the population grew,
it seems to have been the easier practice,
even up to recent times,
to teach the particular skills learnt
to children in the family,
and for them to carry on the family business.

So, in this way,
particular families continued to run and control particular industries,
which were in turn indicated by the colour of their house.

eg.      Casablanca      means      White House

The term  “House”  is these days also synonomous
with “A Great Family”.

So, I would suppose,
that during the First Age,
there would have been, well established,

            4  GREAT FAMILIES    (or  HOUSES),

Controlling,

            4  GREAT INDUSTRIES

This is reflected in the card game which still exists and is popular today -

IO 4 - The 4 Colours

So, how to ascribe the    4    Colours to the     4    Industries ?
They, being –

            WHITE

            YELLOW

            RED

            BLACK

The decision may have been based on the metallurgic processes required
to produce each of the states of Iron Oxide.
There may be a progression in the process,
but I don’t know, as I’m not a chemist.

However, I did come across a very interesting research paper,
entitled –

where it explains that the science of Alchemy had attained a spiritual significance,
the alchemist having equated the changes in the state of iron oxide,
to changes in a person’s state of being (during the cycle of the day) thus -

Black    - the earthly encounter   - awareness of the earthly nature in us

White    - the stage of the moon  - conciousness of our soul nature

Yellow   - the stage of the sun     - the dawning of the “solar light”
                                                       of creative intelligence,
                                                       inherent in our being

Red      - a purifying fourth fire    - a burning and vehement fire, as of fusion,
                                                       where heaven and earth
                                                       in the alchemist are united
(a thinly veiled reference to sex ?)

So, it would stand to reason that, the  4  Corporate Sectors had been ascribed
these colours –

            Design and Management Occupations                             YELLOW

Spirtual and other Communication Occupations               WHITE

            Hospitality and Entertainment Occupations                       RED

Occupations involved with the ground                              BLACK
   and digging into it

Such –
