The Synopsis is a brief description of
the story.
Which is designed to give a quick overview of what it is about,
to anyone
that you approach, or involve, in the making of the film etc,
It is probably best to use only one
page, as this will be easy to read.

The President of the United States, Lyndon Baines
Johnson (LBJ), is reflecting on past events, in the Oval Office (The White
House, Washington DC). He is about to sign the final version of the Civil
Rights Act of 1964, inviting Robert Kennedy to be present, as it will
become law on the morrow.
This prompts him to relate to Robert, an event that he
was involved in during WW2.
US troops were offered to Australia to help with the
war effort, and Negroes were included.
Australia, however, had then and now (1964), their White
Australia Policy and didn’t want the Negroes. However, President Franklin
D. Roosevelt said,
“We said if no black troops,
then no US troops! Period!”
Set in the first half of 1942, against the backdrop of
the imminent Japanese invasion of Australia, the following story, based on
fact, traces the build-up and explosive conclusions to the presence of Negroes
in Townsville, Qld. Involving in particular, a group of Company A & C
soldiers of the 96th Battalion, US Army Corps of Engineers, who led
a mutiny against their white US officers.

At the time, the incidents were buried, and have only
come to light recently through the research activities of a James Cook
University’s (Townsville) historian, Mr Ray Holyoak (2012).
