Bali Bombings Memorial

On Dolphin Point, north of Coogee Beach, Sydney (New South Wales, Australia), stands the "Memorial to the Victims of the Bali Bombings", as many of the Australians who were killed there came from this area.

On the plaque underneath, it reads  -

"MEMORIAL TO THE VICTIMS OF THE BALI BOMBINGS

This memorial is dedicated to all those killed
and injured in the Bali bombings on 12 October 2002.

It is a tribute to the Australian spirit of
courage and endurance.

The linked figures in this sculpture signify family, friends and
community. Bowed in sorrow and remembrance, they comfort
support and protect each other. The figures also symbolise
life, growth, hope and our strength in unity.

The Memorial was unveiled by the Premier of NSW,
The Hon. Bob Carr MP on the first anniversary of the tragedy
12 October 2003
