Left - Before any work was done on it.

Right - After I was able to apply some more varnish onto it.

Now, it has a very friendly, warm feel to it.

Autism Freq ?

(For measurements of these xylophone pieces, please see my blog entry "2 Xylophones")

So, I noticed something
while playing
the 2 xylophones that I made.

And I would say,
that it's related to
the sound problem
that I have,
which could also be
connected to my Autism.

And that is,
some of the notes
sound to me like the one before.
ie., I'm not actually hearing the note,
my brain is "hearing" the note
next to it in the sequence.

I just had a thought !!
-  I wonder if this is why I have problems
    with sequencing ?

Anyway,
here is what my brain hears -

First Octave (picture above)
(Right to Left)
No. 1 - 4    Sounded a bit close together to me
5          Sounded the same as    4
11        Sounded the same as    10

Notes  1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9, 10 and 12,
I seem to be hearing correctly.

Second Octave (picture to the left)
(Right to Left)
No.  3         Sounded the same as    2
5         Sounded the same as    4
8         Sounded the same as    7
10       Sounded the same as    9

                                                                             Notes, 1,2,4,6,7,9,11 and 12,
I seem to be hearing correctly.

The Skull as a Bell
I've also been researching a little about bells, and have come to the conclusion,
that the skull acts as a bell.
And, because I have so many skull fractures, this is having the same effect
that a crack would have in a bell.
That is, that the sound reverberating around my skull is discordant
and not clear, especially when there are multiple sounds coming in,
hence, I get a "confusion" of sounds and my brain can't compute them.

12 Tables

While the restaurant upstairs
is only able to serve takeaway food
for now,
this is a good opportunity for me
to do some work up there.

And, the latest project
has been to paint and varnish
the restaurant tables.

Here you can see
the finished result.

They came up rather well,
I think    :)

Masked

Here is an easy way of making a mask
to cope with the COVID - 19 virus.

I used a chux cloth (a cloth for cleaning)
which I bought from Woolworths (Australia).

Fold into three, length-wise,
then fold into three width-wise.

Put an elastic band around and through
each width-wise fold.
These are to go around each ear,
to hold the cloth in place.

This was an idea from a video link
that a friend sent to me.

I believe that the virus is predominately
an airborne disease,
so this is my main line of defence..

                                                                          Just putting it out there,
in case it helps somebody else.
