I am using “Word” in
MSOffice in Windows
- - for those using typewriters, the same principles apply
I have used a separate
computer file for each section in the screenplay.
These are the sections –
0-0. Cover Letter
0-1. Synopsis
0-2. General
0-3. Title Page
0-4. Script
1. Scene Tags
2. Scenes
3. Scenes / Locations
4. Locations / Scenes
5. Locations
6. Map of Locations
7. Montages
8. Lifts
9. Characters
10. Scene Timeline
11. Partial WW2 Timeline
So firstly,
- Open a New Folder
- Name it for the Script / Screenplay
- Open a New Computer File for each of your sections
- Save As, Number and Name them
- Place them in the script / screenplay folder
- Close them
