Yes, Mel is involved in Mad Max 5.
However,
he's done his best to disassociate
from Icon Productions,
and those controlling it,
having set up his own
film distribution and production
company here in Australia.
So, the film being touted as,
Mel Gibson's sequel
"The Resurrection",
being distributed by Icon,
well, maybe it's their version,
using the understudy / body double
in the lead role as Mel.
Repeating here (above) a line
that seems to be straight out of "The Professor and the Madman",
in which the understudy also took the lead role.
I do know for a fact,
that the understudy / body double, believes himself to be the antichrist,
as he is against all that is human.
And, he has the same birth date, 3 Jan, as Mel. So maybe that helps him to believe he is Mel..
However, he is a chemically enhanced 84 year old, whereas Mel is 66.
