Atlantis, The Lost Continent ?
Where was it, and what happened to it ?
And why does it mean so much to us ?
Well, I believe that the city of Atlantis
was on the island that is now called
Santorini by the modern Greeks
(pictured, left)
You can see clearly,
the rectangular shape of sea,
where the great plain used to be.
(pictured left) on the mountains in Santorini,
could be a memory of an early building,
that was an observatory
with a tower that communicated
(by visual or sound signal)
to a comparable tower in the city on the plain
(on the island, mid-ground),
having a view of the straits to the open sea.
it was a Utopia.
Meaning that, the vegetation was
very rich and abundant.
And in other ways as well,
it must have been a beautiful place to live.
Such as, the idyllic sense of calm,
almost too calm.
Exhibiting here the trademark (pictured, left),
I believe that many people
are alive today, again, who were alive then,
And, they have had, and still, the opportunity to record their memories in book and film etc.
As, we are in the First Resurrection,
described in The Bible,
and have been for a hundred years or more.
Some such articles,
are the games, "Myst" and "Riven".
(books are available).
They describe a place,
inhabited by a group of people
who live in pods -
houses shaped as spheres.
And a secretive guy comes to live there,
Ti'ana's son, Gehn,
who establishes his own society.
at this time.
Myst
could have developed into the word Mist.
And the island could very well have been
shrouded in mist especially along the tops
of the surrounding mountains.
As the volcano would have been hot
and creating a great deal of moisture
in the air and in the springs,
which in turn supported the varied plant life.
Riven
is a word which means "divided",
and the land surface in places
could have been deeply fissured,
due to constant earthquakes etc.
The Atlantean society progressed
to a position of great power in the region,
because of its immeasurably beautiful riches,
gleaned from mines on the island.
Which included precious metals
and in particular, crystals
(such as these, pictured left).
It could well have been the richest place
on earth.
The city had been established,
and it would most likely have been
on the central hill on the plain.
Which is the main vent for the volcano.
What is now the central island
in this collection of islands.
Did they know this ?
Did they care ?
Image above, from -
destruction of the city and the island,
I believe, are encapsulated well
in "Atlantis", by Michael J. Murphy (1991).
This story articulates clearly,
names of the main people involved,
and is the account relayed by
the High Priest, Sartor.
and blew the city and the plain to pieces
with most of the inhabitants
killed by the explosion and lava flow,
or the tsunami that followed.
So, there will be no city structure
that remains.
Whatever has been preserved,
was buried under a great deal of rock and
ash, on land and also under the sea
in the surrounding area.
But, people did escape, and much can be seen from events afterwards, down through history.
Which is well illustrated in this documentary (pictured, left)
The High Priest - Sartor
It seems that he has escaped somehow to Egypt, and been absorbed into their priesthood.
No doubt making good use of sympathetic contacts there, and carrying the Blood Stone and
Crystal Skull with him, to use as collateral.
The Queen's Female Consort - Polita
It would seem that she and the rebels headed north to the ice-lands.
(There had been an ice-age, with an ice sheet progressing into Europe)
Poland
Is Poland named after her ?
Arian
It would seem that Polita had attached herself in an emotional way to Arian, trying to relate
to her, the way she had with the Queen, but Arian was pure, and it was only ever platonic.
However, it didn't stop Polita using Arian. And this way of doing things, has come down
her family line, emanating in the philosophy of Nazi Germany in WW2, to preserve the
blonde hair and blue eyes, of supposedly Arian's family.
I think she was using Arian's name, pretending to be her, and pure, as Arian didn't have blonde
hair, hers was dark coloured.
The Master
Someone who loves gold so much that they paste their whole body with a gold ointment,
can only be one person,
King Midas of Phrygia.
It is possible that the Ancient Greeks called Atlantis, Phrygia.
See - "Midas - Greek mythology"
https://www.britannica.com/topic/Midas-Greek-mythology
This story would explain what is going on with The Master's head.
It could very well be a turban covering ass' ears.
Does this sound far-fetched ?
The Master is also father of a son who has the face of a bull, and who is locked up in a labyrinth.
King Minos of Crete is this person.
This would suggest that The Master, (ie., King Midas, King Minos) escaped to Crete. with
his son, and also his younger daughter Ariadne,
But, The Master cut Ariadne's head off in Atlantis ??
I don't think so !!
This suggests collusion between The Master and his younger daughter.
For the purpose of misdirecting the rebels.
So, what happened ??
The Magician's Trick
The Master most certainly would have staged it for the benefit of the High Priest and others
who were likely to escape. And he most certainly did rape, and kill with poison, his older
daughter/step-daughter, Anteea, the Queen of Atlantis. Then he used her and props, such
as the Blood Stone, the Crystal Skull, and the severed head, which was probably a real head,
but of someone who only looked like his younger daughter. Enacting an elaborate staging of his "rebirth", to reinforce the myth that he was immortal, while executing a quick getaway, as
confusion was mounting over the volcano erupting.
Why all this theatre ?
I think that he saw that his game was up.
He was not immortal, he was an ordinary person with a talent for illusion, but he was growing
old and physically weak, and he knew people would find out the truth, it was just a matter of
time, and that time was coming soon. So, this was all pre-planned and set up, it was just up to
him when to enact it.
So what precipitated these events ?
The Master had vied for world domination, at least of the known world, and things had started
out with promise, but then had not gone to plan, and the Greeks of Athens had formed
an alliance against him. It is said that they waged a battle against him and won. But, the
Ancient Greeks themselves have no knowledge of this victory.
Can it be, that this happened just before the volcano erupted ?
If the Ancient Greeks have no knowledge of this victory, then their soldiers and all of them
that knew of it must have been killed in the eruption and tsunami.
That means they were in close proximity to the island.
Does that mean they had actually taken the city itself ?
I think it does. It would mean the end of The Master's life.
Is the volcanic eruption a co-incidence ?
At the time, I'm sure it would have been put down to the Gods' retribution on the Athenian Greeks.
But, I think that Atlantean technology was far enough advanced, if they had a laser to burn hostile incoming ships,
featured in the film, "Atlantis The Lost Continent"(1961)
that he has used this, or even a couple of bombs placed in strategic positions underground, to
set off the eruption. To destroy all evidence.
Evidence of what ?
What did he want to hide that everybody else wasn't doing as well ?
Maybe the secrets of their technology, but also their medical experiments. As you see, they were performing organ transplants on people. Maybe only externally. But, this was how the minotaur
got his bull's face, and The Master got his ass' ears (though he could have had them removed if he
wanted to).. And also many other experiments on captured people on the island, and maybe from
other places. Which would have created a great deal of fear amongst those around about.
Phrygia - Fear Continent
Maybe also,
The Land of Ophir - The Land Of Fear, King Solomon's Mines
Aqua Terra - The city of water, land, water, land, water, land
Now carrying the Greek version of the name,
Thera
and a settlement,
Akrotiri
Home to the early
Cult of Terra - a cult of worship of the Bull,
Torra. Taura, Taurus
Which may have become known as,
The Cult of Terror
Enough said ?
Maybe one more thing.
Was the city or even the island actually called Atlantis ?
Because only Plato seems to have used it.
I think it might be the city's motto,
"Ad Lantis"
Ad Lan - tis
To ? you (plural) present
This word could have been used by, or describing, a group that escaped the eruption,
as those from
Atlantis.
Maybe if the person using the description, only saw the motto inscribed on an important
building in the city, just prior to its destruction. Possibly an Athenian, helping some of the
inhabitants to escape back to Athens.
Atlantean,
could have come to mean this group of people. And over many generations, when the
knowledge of Atlantis became obscure, the word has degenerated from,
Atlanteans to Latins,
the founders of Rome.
