Thinking back on the -
    4 house dresses
    4 street dresses
    4 evening dresses

This was a good exercise
in understanding which weight of fabric
suits which level of wear.

What I found was that
the following fabrics
suit the following level of wear.

House dresses    -  the lightest weight
                              of cotton fabric
                              for quilting.
Street dresses     -  100% rayon
                              Thailand sarongs.
Evening dresses  -  100% rayon
                              Indonesian sarongs.
